| Château de Rouillac 2002 Red |
This property – which used to be owned by Baron Haussmann – focuses on the red wines and has rediscovered its previous ambitions since the end of the last century. It produces wines designed for modern tastes, with very expressive fruit, mature tannins backed up with ever-present woody aromas. Very tasty and seductive overall. These are wines to be drunk quite early.
The wines: the 2002 is along the same lines as the 2001 and is a little more full-bodied. Generous flavours, without being overbearing – there is never enough of this type of wine in Bordeaux. The 2003 is a very fruity affair, to be uncorked within two years.

| Château de Rouillac 2002 Red |
It is Cabernet Sauvignon that’s in the majority here, and gives good, blackcurrant fruit. Oak are very strong in the sample shown, though may be less in the final bottle |
